Builtplain is a publication about three things: technology, business, and the craft of making money. Nothing else. No politics, no macro doom, no outrage cycle.
The internet is full of places to argue and short on places to learn. Most business content is either academic theory written by people who have never shipped anything, or hype written by people selling a course. Builtplain sits in the gap: practical, specific, and honest about what actually works, including the failure rates.
What you'll find here
- Technology, what new tools actually change for builders, explained without the press-release gloss.
- Business, how small companies find customers, price their work, and survive.
- Money, concrete paths to earning on the internet, with real numbers where we have them.
How we work
We read widely, forums, communities, filings, changelogs, looking for signals: problems people complain about repeatedly, tools that quietly change the economics of a craft, business models that work better than their reputation suggests. Then we write it up plainly. If a piece can't teach you something you could act on this month, we don't publish it.
New articles land a few times a week. The RSS feed is the reliable way to follow along.
