Write for Builtplain

Builtplain exists to help people build things on the internet, and some of the most useful articles come from people in the middle of building. If you are an entrepreneur, developer, or merchant with hard-won knowledge, you can publish it here and reach readers who are exactly your future customers.

What's in it for you

  • A real byline. Your name, a short bio, and a link to your company or product on every article you write.
  • The right audience. Builtplain readers are builders, operators and freelancers, people who buy tools and services that solve business problems.
  • Durable visibility. Articles here are written to keep answering a question for years, not to disappear in a feed.

What we publish

Practical articles on technology, business, and making money online: things you measured, mistakes that cost you real money, workflows you actually run, comparisons you did with a method. First-hand experience beats theory every time. We do not publish thin promotional content, your product can appear as the honest context of the story, not as an advertisement wearing one.

The bar

Every submission goes through the same editorial review as our own writing, documented in our Editorial Policy: verifiable facts with sources, at least two elements of original value (your own data, a tested workflow, a real case study), clear headlines, no invented experience. We edit collaboratively and we reject politely.

How to submit

Email [email protected] with:

  • Your proposed headline and a 3-4 sentence summary of the argument
  • What first-hand experience or data you bring to it
  • One link to something you have written before (a blog post, a long comment, anything)

We reply to every serious pitch. If accepted, you write the draft, we edit together, and you get published with full credit.
